In absence of personal experience ... with the mechanism in question, it may be difficult to visualize how the Bandit actually matches the claims made for it.Here are some hints on the efficient use of the Fishing Rod Bandit. The independent use of this appliance does require the ability to pivot slightly forward and backward at the hip or the use of a mechanically driven reel. Pivoting back and forth provides the power to reel in the fish. Place the fishing rod butt end in the receptacle and turn the reel crank as you lean forward. To attach hooks and or lures to fishing line Attach small clamp to fishing line from fishing rod about 18 inches from the end of the line. Place clamp to side of the Bandit mainframe on knee clamp. Notice the small hole in the front end of the rod holder. Place the hook eyelet into the hole. This will expose the hook for clamping using the longer clamp. Place the long clamp stem into the rod holder thus exposing the hook eyelet. Now you are ready to bring the fish line to the hook eyelet and tie. Baiting the hook Having tied hook/lure to line along with weights and other paraphernalia, you may want to add bait. Release hook from long clamp and hang it from any available support such as an eyelet on a fishing rod. This will allow you to attach clamp to hook eyelet. Place butt end of clamp in the rod holder and bait the hook. Your ready!
